WASHTENAW COUNTY HOME INSPECTOR

Fletcher Inspections, Inc. Home Solutions

Washtenaw County is definitely by no means a small region of Ann Arbor, so there are always inspection requests we receive from residents who are unsure of how to go about checking their home for something such as mold or radon concerns.

Our inspection professionals at Fletcher Inspections have taken it on as our mission to secure as many homes as possible through invasive and detailed inspections that help to reassure you that your home is safe to live in, including the areas that can be tough to notice.

For residents who have been searching for a home inspector in Washtenaw County, the more often than not avoided area of the home is typically the basement. Let’s face it: Basements are both a blessing a curse. While they provide extra space for the storage of household items and have the potential to be turned into an extra beautiful room, they are also the prime places for problems like a bug infestation or uncontrolled or untamed mildew growth.

Therefore, we cannot encourage our clients enough toward home upkeep by consistently checking into and maintaining your basement. For problems like mold and pest infestations, which your basement is very susceptible to, our home inspection Ann Arbor clients are encouraged to pay attention to any strange odors like musty or rotten scents stemming from your basement.

TESTIMONIALS

Professionalism, Punctuality, Quality, Responsiveness, Value

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Jeff Fletcher and Kyle Burmis performed a Buyers Home Inspection on a condo that I am purchasing. These two gentlemen are fantastic! They were friendly and professional, thorough, and went above and beyond in educating me (first time home owner) about maintenance around the condo.
When I called the office, the administrator said that they were book through next week but took the time to track down and ask Jeff anyway to squeeze me in that same week, and Jeff agreed! I also prepaid for a radon test, which Jeff later told me I did not need since my condo was above another unit, and he refunded that portion of my payment.
Jeff and Kyle checked everything from the power outlets to the appliances, to the furnace and circuit breaker box, and even scanned for cold spots/leaks. (They also did a ton more that I'm not listing here) They took detailed pictures, gave excellent explanations, and even provided helpful resources for my future maintenance needs. I am keeping their contact information for future service needs.
10/10 would recommend Fletcher Inspections!

Excellent home inspection service! We hired this company based on its Yelp and Google Reviews (as well as its comprehensive website) to do the home inspection on our first home. Derek arrived 15 minutes prior to schedule, and in a professional manner introduced himself and started answering our questions on the process. He inspected the home for 4 hours, turning on and testing every faucet and appliance, opening every window, and navigating the attic and crawl spaces. As we followed him from time to time, he was patient and answered all our questions completely and honestly. By the end, we really felt that Derek had thoroughly inspected the whole home, with an unbiased perspective, and walked us through an honest and extremely thorough report (which was delivered that same evening). In addition, Derek did not see any evidence of mold, determined that we did not require a mold inspection, and refunded us the amount for this add-on service. My husband and I were very impressed by Derek's work, and would recommend the Fletcher company and their trustworthy, professional, and knowledgable team.

We contracted Fletcher Inspections to evaluate a home we had made an offer on. Matt Westlund was knowledgeable, friendly, efficient and quite honest about areas he would suggest we seek further information from a specialized contractor. He did a remarkably thorough job, did not rush and took time to answer questions and explain things he had found in as much detail as I requested.

Thomas and Matt did an inspection on our house today and I can’t tell you the level of excellence and professionalism exhibited by these two gentlemen. Matt did an excellent/thorough job of inspecting...every...single.... detail...of the house. Thomas also did a great job too and was wonderful by taking the time to explain just how the water and sewage system worked and how to maintain it. We couldn’t have had a better experience. These two are 5 star!

01

Radon

Radon’s existence is not something that most homeowners or potential home buyers consider when moving into a new home. Unless you have had any experience with home inspections or have studied a hazardous element like radon, then you may not be aware of the necessity of inquiring to find out whether or not you could expose yourself to it in your new home. Therefore, we are well-equipped with the necessary tools to catch and detect what most people often miss quickly.

02

Water Testing

The overall condition of the water running through your home’s supply is vitally important, and it’s something that is certainly worth paying attention to. We often meet residents who have not considered the possibility of water contamination by harmful microorganisms. This facet of your home can be tricky, mostly if your home’s water supply tastes and smells normal.

03

Pest Inspections

There’s nothing like finding out that your home has a pest infestation issue that you’re not sure where it all started or when it all started. One of the most common problems we come across is home pest infections that are detected once a large portion of damage has already been done, especially to wooden structures.

Depending on what type of material your home consists of and your home’s pest infestation history, our inspectors can quickly pinpoint whether or not bugs are something you should wonder about.

04

Mold Testing

The more we converse with our clients who come to us for home inspections, we find that one of the most overlooked areas of testing is mold testing. The presence of mold in a home becomes typically more evident as time passes by, which is why we are always trying to wrap our heads around why so many people don’t consider it as an issue when they begin experiencing problems like low breathing.

05

Well and Septic Inspector

If you live on a septic tank system and notice constant drainage issues or annoying plumbing complications, it may be time for an inspection.

With over 19 million homes in the United States operating on a septic tank system, the need for proper and professional septic tank inspectors is becoming more a necessary commodity.

06

Residential and Commercial Inspections

Depending on the home you are looking into purchasing, there may be information concerning the inspection history that may not be readily accessible to you. One of the first pieces of data vital for you to acquire from your realtor when determining whether your home is in desperate need of an inspection is the inspection history documentation.

Your inspection will conclude with a detailed report including colored photos and a summary of your inspectors findings. Our reports are customer-friendly and will cover every single component of your potential home from roof to foundation. The back of your report will include a summarization of the inspectors finding for easy reference both now, and later.
